One of the biggest challenges that people who want to make a shift to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle encounter, is finding everyday products that are 100% recyclable.
Apart from being certified vegan by The Original Vegan Society, the tube, as well as the cardboard package, is 100% recyclable, aiming to attract those who want to start 2020 with a change. Given the fact that it takes between 500 and 700 years for a plastic toothpaste tube to break down, this is a huge step forward in the fight against pollution.
Traditional toothpaste can contain animal ingredients, such as glycerin, which even though can be extracted from plants, usually comes from animal bones. Apart from that, chemicals such as fluoride and propylene glycol can be realty dangerous for your health and the environment.
The vegan line, named “Smile for Good”, currently comes with two options: Protection and Whitening. The official announcement was made on the 2nd of January by The Original Vegan Society, via their Instagram page.
